Kelsey-Sebold Clinic provides primary and specialty care throughout the greater Houston Texas area.
As a medicare beneficiary, you can choose from different Medicare options. One option is the Original (fee-for-serivce) Medicare plan. Another option is a Medicare health plan, like KelseyCare Advantage Essential (HMO).
Kelsey-Sebold Clinic now offers a Medicare Advantage program called KelseyCare Advantage. The clinic now sees new and existing members in the following Texas counties: Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, and Montgomery.
The only KelseyCare Advantage plan where there is a monthly premium is Rx+Choice. Your monthly plan premium for KelseyCare Advantage + Choice is $49 in addition to your monthly Medicare Part B premium. The plan runs through a network of doctors, specialists, and hospitals that only allow you to see those specific specialists. KelseyCare Advantage covers Medicare Part B but not Part D Medicare.
Some outpatient prescription drugs may be covered with Medicare Part B. These drugs include: some antigens, osteoporosis drugs, erythropoietin, hemophilia clotting factors, injectable drugs, immunosuppressive drugs, some oral cancer drugs, oral anti-nausea drugs, and inhalation and infusion drugs.
Any senior who enrolls in an Advantage plan agrees to stay in the program for a full calendar year. After that full year, the plan will decide to continue or not for the next year. If the plan you selected leaves the Medicare Advantage program, you will not lose your Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B coverage.
You are eligible to join the KelseyCare Advantage plan if you live in one of the above service areas and are entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Medicare Part B. However, if you have End Stage Renal Disease, you will generally not be enrolled into the Medicare Advantage plan.
