Fidelis Care is the New York State Catholic Health Plan, Providing affordable health coverage in 48 counties statewide. Fidelis offers Medicare Advantage coverage in 22 counties. The service area for this plan includes Albany, Bronx, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Herkimer, Kings, Montgomery, Nassau, New York, Oneida, Onodaga, Orange, Oswego, Queens, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rockland, Schenectady, Suffolk, Ulster, and Westchester.
There is more than one options available for Fidelis Care's Medicare Advantage plan. You are only able to change plans during specific times of the year. If you are already signed up for one plan and want to change plans, contact the eAmeriFamily Insurance Medicare expert who will happy assist you.
If you are 65 or older, Fidelis Care may have a Medicare Advantage plan for you. Their Medicare Advantage plan features $0 monthly premium and $0 co-payment for visits to a primary care doctor or a specialist. Also, they assure high caliber health providers, including doctors and hospitals, along with flex benefit dollars and a $40 deduction of the Medicare Part B premium every month. Fidelis Care also gives you the ability to visit with doctors or other providers outside the Fidelis network, even though you may have to pay higher costs for copayment and coinsurance.
Prescription drugs are included in many Fidelis health care plans. Three Fidelis plans that cover pharmacy are the Medicare Advantage Plan, Advantage Flex Plan, and the Medicare Advantage Part B Reduction Plan (all HMO-POS plans). However, Fidelis’ Medicare Advantage without Rx plan does not cover prescription medications.
If you are eligible for Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B, and live in Fidelis’ service area, you can enroll in any Fidelis Care Plan. However, if you have been diagnosed with end stage renal disease, you will most likely not be eligible to sign up for a Fidelis plan unless you have been a Fidelis member since you began your dialysis.
