AmeriHealth has been providing high quality yet affordable health care to its members since 1995. They currently serve more than 265,000 people and 8,000 businesses in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. They have their headquarters is in Mount Laurel, NJ, and additional offices in New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
AmeriHealth HMO of New Jersey and Delaware’s AmeriHealth HMO have both received the highest possible accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. They have both received ‘Excellent’ status for meeting the thorough evaluation standards.
AmeriHealth offers a variety of products to meet the needs of its members. They currently have an HMO, a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), traditional coverage, a Medicare risk program for seniors, AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan for those receiving Medicaid, and a third-party administration plan, AmeriHealth Administrators.
They currently are not offering any of their Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans in the state of Delaware, but do have offerings in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
In New Jersey they offer AmeriHealth 65. This is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan that is designed for members who are looking for cost options for monthly premiums and copays. This also offers a Point-of-Service (POS) option for those who would like the flexibility of seeing providers outside of the network.
In Pennsylvania and West Virginia the AmeriHealth Advantage plan is available. This provides standard Medicare Part D benefits. With this Medicare Part D plan, members who have limited incomes may qualify for addition help paying for their prescription drugs.
They also offer the AmeriHealth RX plan in all three states. This is a Medicare Part D prescription plan that provides two options to members, one of which requires no deductible.
