Regence is the largest affiliation of health insurers in the Northwest/Mountain region. This affiliation includes Regence BlueShield of Idaho, Regence BlueShield serving parts of Washington, Regence BlueCross Blue Shield of Oregon, and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah. Each of these plans is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. This group serves more than 2.5 million members in these four states.
They offer a variety of plans from individual and family, to small business or Medicare. They have a variety of options sure to fit your needs. Regence MedAdvantage is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan. This plan offers coverage for medical expenses but no prescription coverage. There is no deductible for medical services and only a small copayment for office visits. There is also full coverage for a wide variety of preventative health care tests and diabetes training and products.
Regence MedAdvantage + Rx Classic is for those who want medical and prescription coverage, but are willing to have a little more cost-sharing in exchange for a lower monthly premium. This plan has a deductible for medical care and services as well as for prescription coverage. It does include complete coverage for routine screenings and diabetes products and services. This plan also offers prescription medication on a tiered copayment system but does not cover anything in the coverage gap.
Regence MedAdvantage + Rx Enhanced is for those who want substantial coverage for both medical and prescription expenses. There is no deductible for medical care or services or prescription drugs, and there is 100% coverage for a number of preventative screenings and diabetes self-monitoring training and supplies. It also offers prescription drug copayments on a tier system. Generic drugs within the first tier are available for $4 copayment per 30 day supply within the prescription coverage gap.
Regence also has Medicare supplements available. If you currently have Medicare Parts A and B, but want to enhance your coverage a supplement plan might be what you are looking for. Regence offers supplement Plans A through G. The plans offered in each area vary. In Oregon, Plans A, C, D, E, F, F-high deductible, and G are all offered. In Washington, Plans A, C, or G are offered. Idaho has Plans A, C, F, G available. Utah has all Plans A to G available.
