Scott and White is a healthcare provider serving members in Texas. They began in 1982 as a not for profit Health Maintenance Organization whose goal was to provide personal, high quality care to all of their members. Scott and White offers health plans to both employers and individuals. Employers can choose from HMO, Consumer Choice, Point of Service, and Consumer-driven Health Plans. They also offer a variety of plans for individuals at a wide range of prices. For those interested in Medicare, Scott and White offers three prescription medication packages as well as three Medicare Part D plans.

 

For the SeniorCare Plans, all three plans include the coverage of Medicare Part A and B deductibles, the routine physical exams, no waiting period on pre-existing conditions, premiums that aren’t based on age or gender, optional prescription drug coverage, and many other benefits. The three plans offered are the Select Plan, Preferred Plan, and Preferred Plus Plan.

 

The Select Plan offers members the minimum monthly premium the three plans. There is a flat co-payment for any doctor appointments, trips to the hospital, and emergency room trips. Any outpatient surgeries, mental health or substance abuse services, some routine examinations, and rehabilitation care are all covered through co-insurance. Emergency care is covered only within the US, and the optional prescription plan, SeniorCare Rx, is offered for an additional premium.

 

The Preferred Plan utilizes minimal co-pay for doctor visits and hospital stays. It also includes regular vision tests and prescription eye wear coverage, as well as worldwide emergency care coverage. 

 

For this plan, the SeniorCare Rx prescription plan is available for an additional premium.

The Preferred Plus Plan includes no co-pays for office visits, hospital stays, or outpatient surgery. Also included in this plan are standard vision exams and coverage for eyeglasses, routine dental, and hearing aid coverage. Emergency medical services are is available worldwide. In this plan, the SeniorCare Rx prescription plan is also available for an additional premium.

 

The SeniorCare Rx plans offer three variations of prescription medication plans to fit your needs. All three plans include Medicare Part D benefits, a wide variety of network pharmacies all across Texas, home delivery on mail orders, and other benefits. The three options are the Value Rx plan, Basic Rx plan, and the Enhanced Rx plan.

 

The Value Rx plan charges a minimal monthly premium and has low co-payments. The Basic Rx plan is for those who only need the basics covered. There is a low monthly premium and low co-payments with no deductible. This plan gives coverage on the first prescription. The Enhanced Rx plan is designed for those who have high prescription drug costs. There is a monthly premium and no deductible. This plan includes coverage during the gap.
