MyBestMedicare offers 5 Medicare plans for people over the age of 65 who lives in Los Angeles, California.  Common Los Angeles area Medicare plans are Blue Shield of California’s HMO Blue Shield Plus Choice and Blue Shield of California HMO Blue Shield Plus. 

 

Blue Shield of California’s HMO Blue Shield Plus Choice is offered for a $0 premium.   When you notify your physician, there is $0 copayment for any trip to your primary care provider. If you seek treatment from a specialist, there is $10 copayment and members receive one yearly physical exam.  If you need a routine vision exam, there is $10 copay.  There is $50 copay for the first 10 days for inpatient hospital care and $0 copay per outpatient visit.

 

Blue Shield of California HMO Blue Shield Plus also offers a $0 monthly premium. You are required to pay $5 copayment for any visits to your primary care provider, and $10 copayment for trips to specialists. Blue Shield members receive one physical exam and one vision exam per year.  There is $50 copay for the first 5 days for inpatient hospital care and $25 copay per outpatient visit.

 

Los Angeles Medicare also offers residents two Medicare Supplement Plans- F and G.  The monthly premiums vary from $141.18 to $163.83.  Medicare Supplement, or Medigap is a supplemental health insurance which extended coverage for Medicare beneficiaries.
