The process of finding a Medicare plan that is best for you may seem overwhelming, but we are here to help.  If your Medicare Plan does not currently offer coverage for all of your healthcare expenses, you can add a Medicare Plan.  An additional Medicare Plan can help fill in these “coverage gaps”.  Since everyone has different medical and financial needs, there are a variety of plans offered for you to choose from.  This gives you the option of choosing a plan that works best for you, while giving you the coverage you deserve. 

 

There are three Medicare carriers in your area: Humana Health Insurance, Gerber Life Insurance Company, and Mutual of Omaha Medicare.  These carriers offer a total of 12 Medicare Plans to you in Cary, NC.

 

1. Humana Health Insurance:

There are four Medicare plans offered by this Medicare carrier in your area.  They are PPO HumanaChoice H3405-001, PPO HumanaChoice R5826-079, PPO HumanaChoice R5826-063, and PPO HumanaChoice R5826-003.  A PPO is a preferred provider organization.  These Plans can be added to your Medicare Supplement Plan (Medicare Part C).

 

PPO HumanaChoice H3405-001 has a monthly premium of $20. There is a $15 for a primary care office visit.  There is a $35 co-pay for specialty care office visit.  Hospital Inpatients (those who require over-night stay in the hospital) will have a $195 co-pay per day for the first seven days of their hospital visits.  Hospital outpatients (those who require medical services or a hospital stay that is not over-night) will have $0-$250 co-pay per visit, depending on the cost of the visit.  Pharmacy, such as the cost of prescription drugs, is covered with this Plan.

 

2. Gerber Life Insurance Company:

Gerber Life offers three Medicare Supplement Plans: Medicare Supplement Plan A, F, and G.  Medicare Supplement Plan F offers coverage on excess fees of your Medicare Plan. This includes fees you may encounter at doctors visits, such as “out-of-pocket” fees.  It also offers coverage for your Part B deductible.  Foreign travel emergency insurance is on of the many benefits of this plan.  Medicare Supplement Plan F is one of the most popular Medicare Plan.

 

Medicare Supplement Plan F has a monthly premium of $110.50.  There is $0 co-pay for office visits, hospital inpatients, and hospital outpatients.  Pharmacy is not covered with this plan.

 

3.  Mutual of Omaha Medicare:

Mutual of Omaha Medicare offers five Medicare Supplement Plans:  Medicare Supplement Plan A, F, G, M, and N.  Medicare Supplement Plan G offers extended coverage on excess charges of your Medicare Plan.  Plan G covers Medicare Part A and Part B co-payments and co-insurance. 

 

However, one must not that Part B deductible is not covered with this Plan.  A skilled nursing facility is one of the many benefits of selecting this Plan.

 

Medicare Supplement Plan G in Cary, NC has a monthly premium of $74.49.  There is a $0 co-pay for office visits, hospital inpatients, and hospital outpatients.  Pharmacy is not covered with this plan. 

 

*It is important to use the Medicare Plans provided to your area.  Many times the Medicare carriers are members of a network of doctors and hospitals in your particular area.  These doctors and hospitals in your area will accept the Medicare Plans provided by the Medicare carriers within the network. If you choose to use doctors and hospitals outside of the network, you may not receive coverage.  However, in the case of an emergency, you may receive extended coverage.
